Photographer and social media influencer Janita Autio, 29, talks about her career as a photographer to Arto Nyberg in his title program.

In the interview, Autio commented on how he felt when the Prime Minister’s festival picture started spreading on social media even abroad.

– Yes, it was great when it attracted widespread attention. Contact was made all over the world, Autio reveals with a smile.

A couple of months after that, the photographer became the target of negative attention in Finland, when he was included as part of the Prime Minister’s celebration. For Nyberg, Autio describes his thoughts about it.

– Well, it was quite a crazy thing. I think it has been talked about quite a lot. I have made my own way out, Autio describes.

– I have nothing to add to that, he clarifies.

Autio reveals in the program that he started his career as a photographer by asking public figures to be photographed for free. One of these was, for example, the rap artist Mikael Gabriel.

– I am proud that I have dared to go on my own path, even though it has been scary and I have had to do the dune properly, says Autio.

He founded his own business name in 2015. Since then, he has photographed both Finnish and international public figures. He also received the Instagram influencer of the year award.

– I’m totally hooked. I bring my own world there, Autio adds, laughing about his use of Instagram.

New episodes of the Arto Nyberg program appear on Sundays Yle Arena.
