Phoenix announce new album “Alpha Zulu” – “Tonight” streaming here

The French indie poppers Phoenix have announced their new album: “Alpha Zulu” will be released on November 4th, 2022. Coinciding with the announcement, they are also releasing the second pre-single “Tonight”. Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig is a featured guest.

You can listen to the new single here:

The album was recorded in the Louvre in Paris, in a specially built studio in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in the north wing of the palace. “We thought it would be an amazing adventure to create something from nothing in a museum,” says guitarist and keyboardist Laurent “Branco” Brancowitz. “During the pandemic, we were able to experience the scenario of being alone in an empty museum.”

It is the first album by the group around singer Thomas Mars since “Ti Amo” from 2017. Phoenix had already released the first single “Alpha Zulu” in June.

If you want to experience Phoenix live, you can do so on November 20th at the band’s only Germany concert 2022 in Berlin’s Columbiahalle.
