Team denied rumors
A spokesman for the British singer is said to have told “TMZ” that Phil Collins is not in the hospice. However, he is currently because of a knee surgery in the hospital, so he is not in mortal danger.
As so often, it is unclear who put these rumors in circulation. However, it is clear that the fans of the British musician were worried. “We lose all of our childhood heroes …” writes a user. Long medical history
For decades, Phil Collins has been struggling with significant health problems that have severely affected his musical career. Back surgery in 2009 led to nerve damage, which means that he could no longer play drums. Later, numbness in the hands, diabetes and walking problems were added.
In recent years, Collins has mostly been in a wheelchair and had to use a walking aid. Despite these restrictions, he completed his last farewell concert with Genesis in 2022. Only in February he told the “Mojo Magazin”: “I always think I should go down to the studio and see what happens. But it no longer excites me. The thing is sick. I mean, very sick.”

He initially became known as a drummer and later as a singer of the band Genesis before he also celebrated solo successes. He shaped the 1980s and 1990s with hits like “In The Air Tonight”, “Another Day in Paradise” and “Against All Odds”. In total, he sold over 150 million recordings worldwide.
