Peugeot 408: plug-in hybrid test, consumption, range and price

Cutting-edge technology with unique design, the stylistic fusion of two worlds: this is the synthesis of the Peugeot 408. The new French model of the C-segment combines the silhouette typical of the world of fastback sedans with the lines of the crossover category. From an industrial point of view, this car represents an important step in the implementation of the long-term strategic plan of the Stellantis group: “Giving Forward 2030”. An articulated project aimed at renewing its range, introducing new models equipped with power units hybrid, plug-in and electric. The Peugeot 408 will be marketed with three engines: a 130 HP 1.2 Puretech unit with automatic transmission, a 180 HP plug-in hybrid (Phev) combined with the EAT8 transmission, finally a 225 HP Phev with EAT8 automatic transmission. Peugeot 408 has an attack price of 33,800 euros referring to the petrol unit under Allure construction. Below we report the test of the 408 in GT configuration, combined with the 225 HP plug-in hybrid power unit costing 47,700 euros.
