Comedian Jukka Lindström joked to Yle a few weeks ago A rough week night – program about social media videos published by Prime Minister Petteri Orpo.
The host of the political satire program substantiated his joke by stating that the elections are only a year away, and the situation of the coalition does not look good.
– Orpo has not been left to mourn this, but has tried to soften his image with social media videos like these, in which he at least tries to show a more relaxed side of himself at the end of the work week, Lindström said.
Next, he highlighted the video published on Orpo’s Instagram, in which the prime minister takes off his tie and states that the week has come to an end. Orpo has published similar videos on his social media channels from time to time. In them, he appears in a more relaxed role, recounting the key events of the past week as well as the government’s current topics.
However, one detail in Orpo’s videos caught Lindström’s attention.
– Petteri tried to be relaxed by taking off his tie. But did you notice that after that Orpo still had to fold that tie neatly into a roll, he explained while a video of the Prime Minister folding his tie played in the background.
Now Prime Minister Petteri Orpo has responded to Lindström’s receipt with a new similar social media video.

In the video, he takes off his tie again as usual and says to the camera:
– It would be Saturday now, and just to Jukka Lindström’s delight on the evening of the Hard Week, I will carefully fold this tie again and put it here, he explains and places his tie neatly folded next to him.
– But believe it or not, me and us members of the coalition usually take off the tie on weekends, and it’s not just a trick to soften the image, the prime minister adds.
After the receipt, he continues the video with a familiar pattern, going through the week’s events.
