The price of a liter of petrol is higher than 2.60 euros for the first time in history. Consumer collective UnitedConsumers reported on Thursday that the national recommended price of a liter of Euro95 has risen by 1.5 cents to 2.603 euros.
Prices at the pump have been rising in recent days, after oil prices rose sharply again due to the uncertainty surrounding the war in the Middle East.
The recommended price of a liter of diesel rose by 2 cents on Thursday to 2.577 euros. The price has also risen slightly in recent days, after having fallen considerably. On April 8, the liter price for diesel stood at a record high of 2,819 euros per liter. The recommended prices are often only asked along highways. Motorists can refuel cheaper in other places.
