After a violent summer of scandal, the sun is starting to shine again for Peter Gillis, who is being prosecuted by the Public Prosecution Service for the abuse of his girlfriend. After a cautious start to the new season – 563 and 512 thousand viewers – the third episode of Massa is Kassa attracted 780 thousand viewers (17 percent market share) to SBS 6 last night.

‘Viewer embraces him again’

Tina Nijkamp, the former channel boss of SBS 6, finds it striking. “Opens 200 thousand viewers more than last week and week before. Has the viewer embraced the discredited Peter Gillis again? It certainly looks like that. With no less than 20 percent market share in the target group 20 to 54 years, also the number one in the time slot.”

Even the immediately broadcast Today Inside scored slightly less well with 769 thousand viewers (17 percent). “Family Gillis is the best-scoring program of the day for SBS 6. So a ratings hit.”

Robert continues to disappoint

Robert ten Brink continues to disappoint with his program Opvoeding Doe Je Zo on RTL 4. Only 391 thousand people (8 percent) watched it, as a result of which the channel was unable to conquer a place in the top 25 daily viewing figures at prime time.

The big winner on prime time was Martine van Os with 1.4 million viewers (30 percent) for We Are There. Immediately before that, Opsporing Verzocht reached 1.1 million viewers (24 percent).

Ewout Genemans

After NPO 1 and SBS 6, NPO 2 was the most popular: Krabbé Search Kahlo could count on 483 thousand viewers (10 percent). Nieuwsuur also did well with 511 thousand viewers (11 percent).

Ewout Genemans managed to captivate 341 thousand viewers (7 percent) on RTL 5 with his program Ewout. “Ewout Genemans can finally breathe a sigh of relief,” says Tina. “His program scored well again yesterday. He only had 50 thousand viewers less than Robert ten Brink on RTL 4.
