Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov did not comment on the discussion in social networks of frames with Vladimir Putinfilmed by one of the American channels at the opening ceremony of the XXIV Winter Olympic Games in Pekin.
As the British tabloid Daily Mail writes, in particular, when the Ukrainian team entered the stadium, the Russian president “feigned to be asleep”: he “sat with his arms crossed over his chest and seemed to close his eyes.”
To the relevant question RIA News Peskov replied: “If you comment on everything that is discussed on social networks, you can lose your sobriety of mind. We cannot afford this.”
The Russian leader flew to Beijing on February 4 on a working visit. He attended the opening ceremony of the Olympicsand before that spent talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
