The collision happened just after 6 pm tonight. According to a police spokesperson, the victim was hit by a taxi driver on a motor scooter on the cycle path. Emergency services have tried to resuscitate the person on the spot, but help came too late for the victim.
It is not yet clear how the accident could have happened. The police dropped the road at the Calvin College for further investigation. Nothing is known about the identity of the victim.
