Sarah Voss, a member of the German squad who won team bronze at the European Gymnastics Championships in Munich in August, will not be taking part in the World Championships in Liverpool (October 29 to November 6) due to a persistent calf injury.

Voss suffered the injury in the last training session before leaving for Munich, and the resulting hole in his calf muscles has not yet closed, even after a five-week break. “There is a high risk that the muscle bundle will tear further or not grow together properly“, said the 22-year-old from Cologne.
