After the attack on Cologne striker Tim Lemperle, the police apparently identified the perpetrator. He probably reported voluntarily.
The Cologne police apparently found the perpetrator, who is said to have physically attacked Tim Lemperle, striker of the 1st FC Köln on Sunday evening. The “Bild” newspaper reports. Accordingly, the alleged perpetrator reported to the police about his lawyer. The police are now threatening him.
The incident occurred on May 11 on a party ship in Cologne-Rodenkirchen. The 23-year-old Lemperle suffered a broken nose in the attack and had to be taken to the hospital.
Lemperle was on the ship with a friend and a former teammate. The FC professional is said to have been in a strongly alcoholic state at the time of the crime. The confrontation with another party guest initially seemed to end, but escalated outside the ship a little later.
The police then searched for a young man who was described as about 1.70 meters tall, muscular and blonde. At the time of the crime, he is said to have worn an orange t-shirt and short jeans.
Coach Friedhelm Funkel was cautious about the sporting consequences on Monday at the “Express”: “I know that he was tackled. And that he contracted facial injuries. The likelihood that he will play on Sunday is low but not quite impossible.”
The police arrived at the Heinrich Lübke bank at 9:45 p.m. At this point, Lemperle was already medically supervised. He was treated at the Cologne University Hospital that night. Lemperle’s contract in Cologne expires, his switch to TSG Hoffenheim has been in the room for a long time, but has not yet been officially confirmed.
