The PERFORMANCE DAYS team is looking forward to welcoming exhibitors and visitors back to the Munich Exhibition Center from October 4th to 5th, 2023. As part of the winter fair, the industry can look forward to a large number of innovations. Due to the addition of the shoe range, the exhibition area will be increased accordingly. Innovations, highlights and trends for the coming Autumn/Winter 2025/26 season will be presented in Hall A5 and Hall A6 with immediate effect. In addition to a separate footwear area, the Innovation Forum, the Trend Forum and the Sustainability Lounge not only shine in new splendor, but also show new, exciting features.
Winter fair expands range and exhibition space
With the start of the 2023 winter trade fair, the PERFORMANCE DAYS team is coming up with several innovations. For the first time, the organizers are focusing on the shoe segment. For this reason, the trade fair will no longer only take place in Hall A5, but will be expanded to include another exhibition hall in A6. In addition to the new Footwear Forum, the Innovation and Trend Forum will also have an update. The Sustainability Lounge, which is dedicated to sustainable trends and developments at the heart of what is happening at the trade fair, has been completely revised and adapted. The program is rounded off with a “Duke Gin & Tonic Bar” and its own food truck, the Outdoor Innovator Spotlight by Utah State University Area with its own exhibition “History of Membranes and Waterproof materials from the archive” and the well-known Expert Talks as well as the sustain & innovative sustainability conference by SAZsport.
To date, over 380 exhibitors have already been accredited for the upcoming PERFORMANCE DAYS in Munich. In October we will focus our attention in particular on the new Footwear Area, which is why we had to expand the exhibition area to almost two halls. The industry is in transition. Never before have topics related to technical innovations, new approaches in the field of membranes that focus on sustainable aspects, been so essential and exciting. Visitors can look forward to a number of groundbreaking innovations and new developments.
Trends & innovations for the shoe industry: Footwear Area & Footwear Forum
From October 4th to 5th, 2023, the organizers will no longer only be focusing explicitly on sustainable functional textiles and accessories, but will also be targeting the shoe market for the first time. As of the winter fair, suppliers of textiles and shoes can finally meet with decision-makers from international brands at the right time to present their solutions and build lasting relationships. Nina Conrad and Rucky Zambrano, two renowned industry specialists, have taken on the topic and, in addition to a footwear exhibition area, also integrated their own footwear forum into the trade fair.
Up-to-date and even clearer: Trend Forum & Innovation Forum
In order to do even more justice to the innovative character of the PERFORMANCE DAYS in the future, the trade fair has decided to make its own Innovation Forum available to visitors and exhibitors in addition to the Performance Forum, which is now known as the Trend Forum. As usual, the Trend Forum provides visitors with an inspiring and well-founded overview of materials, trends and innovations from the exhibitors. This year’s (Eco) Performance Award will also be presented in this context. In addition, the focus in the new Innovation Forum is explicitly on groundbreaking innovations and revolutionary products that have never been shown before.
Developments in the field of sustainability: Sustainability Lounge
With its own Sustainability Lounge, the PERFORMANCE DAYS offer the right setting for industry networking. The lounge is intended to encourage exchange and discussion and to serve as an information platform. The focus is on developments, news, highlights, innovative projects and innovations on the subject of sustainability.
Informative and innovative: Expert Talks and the sustain & innovate conference by SAZsport
The Expert Talks platform is very popular every year. As part of the winter fair, visitors to the PERFORMANCE DAYS will again have an exciting program to choose from. These include, as usual, the Fabric Talk with Alexa Dehmel, the Trend Talk with Nora Kühner, as well as stimulating discussions and specialist presentations. In addition to the Expert Talks, which will take place on the first day of the fair (October 4, 2023), the focus at the sustain & innovate conference by SAZsport, which is scheduled for the second day of the fair (October 5, 2023), will be on topics related to this year’s Focus Topic “Revolution and Evolution From the Carbon Story to Membranes”.
