Pep Guardiola has been on the sidelines at Manchester City for eight years. He doesn’t want to go to another club in his career either.

Pep Guardiola has been working as a club coach since 2007. He started with the FC Barcelona second team, then became a coach with the professionals and came to Manchester City via FC Bayern. However, the Premier League club should be the last stop in club football for the Spaniard. However, Guardiola does not rule out a move to the coaching bench of a national team. The 53-year-old shared these thoughts in an interview with the Spanish celebrity chef Dani Garcia, which was published on YouTube.

Guardiola explained his decision: “I feel it’s enough. I’m going to quit. I’m not going to take over another team. I’m not talking about the long-term future, but I’m not going to leave Man City to go to another country and to do exactly the same as now.”

A move to another club is not an option for him because he lacks the energy to start again: “The thought of starting somewhere else, all the training and so on. No, no, no. Maybe a national team, but that’s something other.” Guardiola said he would then have time for a round of golf in between.

Guardiola recently extended his contract with Manchester City. His working paper runs until June 2027. He has been a coach at the Premier League club since 2016.
