Moscow Pension Fund: Pensioners will start receiving pensions increased by 8.6% on February 3

Non-working pensioners in Moscow and the Moscow region will begin to receive pensions indexed by 8.6% from Wednesday, February 3, reported regional branch of the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR) on the site.

All payments to the FIU will be made automatically. Due to the fact that the decision to carry out indexation was made retroactively, from January 1, pensioners will receive an additional payment for January, since then indexation was only 5.9%.

The pension fund noted that the average pension increased by 1.5 thousand per month and reached 18,984 rubles.

On January 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered that insurance pensions for non-working citizens be indexed above inflation in order to compensate for their expenses. According to preliminary data from Rosstat, in 2021 the figure reached 8.4%.
