A woman was fined 31 times last summer, accumulating fines of around two thousand euros. The driver filed an appeal with the Justice of the Peace. The magistrate of Castelvetrano, Giuseppina Montericcio, has decided to cancel the minutes. The woman’s lawyer, Francesco Fulgo, told Ansa: “According to what the Judge clarified, the telelaser did not allow the complete photographic recording of the event; among the reasons for cancellation there was also the one that the details were not correctly indicated in the reports of the violation committed “. In the same area in that period thousands of fines were raised for that reason. The right for municipalities to create restricted traffic areas is provided for in article 7 of the Highway Code. Fines range from 80 to 332 euros in addition to notification fees.
