Peloton extends cooperation with Amazon to Germany

The US connected fitness provider Peloton Interactive Inc. is now also partnering with the online retailer Amazon in Germany. “As part of the Amazon experience, the Peloton Bike is now available for home delivery,” the company said on Thursday. As part of the new free service, customers now have the opportunity for the first time to assemble the bikes themselves or choose a professional assembly option that is available nationwide.

Germany is the third market where Peloton is working with the e-commerce giant to “expand its distribution channels.” After starting in the USA, the partnership was extended to Great Britain in November.

Martin Richter, Managing Director of Peloton Germany, explained the company’s goals for the local market: “Peloton’s cooperation with Amazon makes Peloton easily accessible to even more potential and existing members across Germany,” he said in a statement. “Peloton is expanding its offering across Germany with innovative products and more than 4,500 instructor-led German-language courses for fitness enthusiasts of all levels. The Amazon store is another way for us to combine a differentiated fitness experience with a convenient shopping experience just in time for the new year.”
