American visit major provocation for Beijing
TAIPEI – Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, has arrived in Taiwan. She landed in Taipei just before 11 a.m. local time, starting a controversial visit. According to Beijing, the visit is an outright provocation by the Americans. Prior to this, a lot of muscle language could be heard from both Beijing and Washington.
