LA Galaxy
Van Anholt started his career in the youth of SC Heerenveen. He then played for FC Emmen, SC Heerenveen and Willem II and made the switch to the American LA Galaxy in the summer of 2017. He didn’t get to play much because of a knee injury. In 2018 he returned to the Netherlands and became a permanent fixture at NAC Breda. The adventure beckoned again, so in 2020 he left for the Cypriot Enosis Neon in Paralimni.

Experience
Trainer Jurgen Streppel says on the club site that he is happy with Van Anholt’s experience. “Pelé is a multifunctional defender who is cut from the right stuff as a professional football player. With his 30 years and more than 160 Eredivisie games played, he brings a lot of experience. Capturing Pelé gives us more opportunities in the rear, he can also play well. the feet on the back positions.”

Pride
Pelé van Anholt has a good feeling about the conversations with Streppel and general manager Jordens Peters, whom he still knows from his time at Willem II. “During these conversations I noticed a certain ambition of the club that I can relate to. I am therefore very proud to sign with this beautiful club and I look forward to playing in the beautiful Parkstad Limburg Stadium.”
