The time of Paul Wanner at Bayern is obviously over. The talented midfielder changes firmly abroad.

FC Bayern apparently gives another player shortly before the start of the season. As the Pay TV broadcaster Sky reports, Paul Wanner leaves Municher and changes to the Netherlands. It joins the PSV Eindhoven.

According to the report, the two clubs have reached a complete agreement. Unlike last season, when Wanner was awarded to 1. FC Heidenheim, this time it is a fixed transfer. The German record champion receives a fixed transfer fee of 15 million euros plus bonuses for Wanner.

According to Sky, Wanner Munich will leave Wednesday evening. The medical check will be due shortly, it is also said.

Wanner, who has been playing at Bayern since 2018, had given his Bundesliga debut for the club in 2022. Overall, he was eight times in the field, six times in the Bundesliga, twice in the Champions League.

In the 2023/2024 season, Wanner was awarded to the second division club SV Elversberg. He knew how to convince with the Saarlanders, as well as in the follow -up season at his loan at Heidenheim. In addition, the 19-year-old has been an integral part of the German U21 national team since last October, with which he became the Vice European Champion in the summer. So far, the native Austrian has scored eight games under coach Antonio di Salvo.

For FC Bayern, the departure of Wanner means the loss of another offensive power. After the sale of the previously awarded Mathys Tel to Tottenham, the change from Kingsley Coman to Al-Nassr and the two transfer-free departures from Leroy Sané zu Galatasaray and Thomas Müller to Vancouver, the personnel ceiling in the attack is getting thinner. So far, only Luis Díaz from FC Liverpool has been hired for the offensive.
