Paul McCartney was hit by a car on a famous filming location

Beatles star Paul McCartney, 80, was crossing the road on set, but the car didn’t even stop. The situation will be seen in a new documentary.

McCartney’s Marydaughter, 53, says in an interview with the Mirror publication that there are also more dramatic moments associated with the crosswalk in question. Paul McCartney has been almost run over by a car in the same spot.

Photographer and documentarian Mary McCartney has made a documentary about the history of Abbey Road Studio. The documentary shows a scene where the famous album cover is cut to the present, when her father Paul McCartney is crossing the same crosswalk.

– The part where the car almost ran over him at the crosswalk was so funny. When we were leaving (the studio), I said ‘I’m filming you (at the intersection) and he was crossing the road when this car didn’t even stop for him,’ Mary describes to the Mirror.

Paul McCartney turned 80 this summer. McCartney, who originally became known from the band The Beatles, has been working in the music industry for more than 65 years. After the breakup of the Beatles, he has played, among others, in the band Wings, as well as made solo music.

During the 80th anniversary celebrations, McCartney had a street named after him in his hometown. Matthew street in Liverpool was temporarily renamed McCartney street.

Beatles fans gathered at Abbey Road in London in 2019 for the 50th anniversary of the iconic album.
