On Thursday (April 28) Paul McCartney kicked off his “Got Back” tour in Spokane, Washington. ROLLING STONE previously reported on the setlist of the concert. A recording of the evening shows the ex-Beatle singing a virtual duet with his late ex-bandmate John Lennon.

How good is “Get Back”? Our verdict:

The two have not – officially – been able to sing together for over 50 years, now director Peter Jackson has made it possible to perform the Beatles track “I’ve Got A Feeling” together. The song was originally recorded for the 1970 album Let It Be and was co-written by Lennon and McCartney.

The three-part Beatles documentary Get Back was produced by Jackson. Since he was a big fan of the Fab Four, he is said to have separated Lennon’s vocal track from the song for McCartney. In addition, he is said to have edited the video clip that can be seen on stage behind Macca. This shows John Lennon singing to “I’ve Got A Feeling”.
