Paul McCartney has announced a new box set containing a total of 80 7 inch singles from his entire career. The 7”-Singles is scheduled for release on December 2nd. The box set is limited to 3,000 copies and contains 163 songs from the period 1971 to 2019. here you can pre-order the set for 735 euros.

From “Another Day” (1971) to the recent Record Store Day single “Women and Wives” (2022), the box set contains more than ten hours of music – both by McCartney solo and from his work with the Wings. Hits like “My Love”, “Jet” and “Silly Love Songs” are included. “I hope the songs in this box set bring back fun memories for you, too,” said the ex-Beatle. “They’re doing it for me, and there’s more on the way…”

The box set brings together singles and b-sides originally released in countries like Germany, Japan and Australia. All songs were remastered at London’s Abbey Road Studios. 15 singles that were previously only available on 12”, CD or digital are being released in 7” format for the first time. Also included are two previously unheard demos and a new 7” single edit.

The original artwork was reconstructed for the 65 reissued singles. Also included is a 148-page book with a foreword by McCartney, essays by music journalist Rob Sheffield and recording notes for the singles. In addition, each box contains a randomly selected test pressing of one of the singles. The box set is delivered in an FSC-certified wooden box.
