The Brit was the original singer of the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden. In 1975 he responded to an advertisement from bass player and founder Steve Harris to become the new singer of the band, with success.
Two years later, in 1977, he was replaced by Dennis Wilcock due to disappointing singing and stage performance. Wilcock was later exchanged for Paul Di’anno, who died last year. The current singer of Iron Maiden is Bruce Dickinson.
