Patrick Laine has already risen to some kind of style icon status in the NHL with his personal dressing, but now a challenger has been found for the Finnish star.

On Wednesday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs posted pictures on Instagram of their players arriving at the arena before the game. The group was quite well dressed, but one player’s choice of outfit caught the attention of the fans.

Swedish goalkeeper Erik Källgren had tucked a topcoat under his suit jacket.

The picture is in the publication below as the last previous shot.

A collared shirt and a tie were still handsome as usual under the top coat. Based on the picture, Källgren didn’t even seem to be worried about one startling intermediate layer.

Toronto fans horrified the 26-year-old goalkeeper’s outfit in the commentary box.

– The temptation to stop following this account is rising all the time, one supporter threatened.

– Really? These guys make a lot of money. I’m available as a stylist, another offered.

However, even the top jacket did not warm Källgren enough, as the Swede allowed four goals from 20 shots to the Vegas Golden Knights. Toronto lost in overtime 4–3.
