Pasechnik allowed holding a referendum on joining the LPR to Russia

In the Lugansk People’s Republic, a referendum on its entry into Russia may be held in the near future. This was stated by the head of the LPR Leonid Pasechink, transmits Luganskinformtsentr.

“I think that in the near future a referendum will be held on the territory of the republic, at which the people will exercise their absolute constitutional right and express their opinion on joining the Russian Federation. For some reason I am sure that this is exactly what will happen, ”he said.

On February 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees recognizing the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as agreements on mutual assistance and friendship with the DPR and LPR.
