Party weekend: Bouwhof has a new look and celebrates it in this cool way

Do-it-yourself and home store Bouwhof has undergone a metamorphosis and is happy to celebrate it with you on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 October. Discover the renovated store and experience two great days full of activities, discounts, free style advice and snacks. Make a note in your agenda!

After months of preparation, the time has come! The ribbon for the renovated entrance will be cut by founder Dirk Huurman on Friday morning, October 21 at nine o’clock. His son Jan Bart Huurman tells us what you can do during this festive reopening!

Time for a party

Whoever is the first to arrive on Friday morning is lucky: the first hundred customers receive a gift voucher with a value ranging from 10 to 100 euros. Also for the kids all kinds of fun things are organized. Jan Bart explains: “There is a bouncy castle, you can have your face painted and in the meantime score some cotton candy.”

Once inside the renovated store, you can enjoy tasty snacks and free coffee. Also great: you can ask your pressing interior questions during a free short style advice. In addition, everyone will receive a 20 percent discount on one stock item of their choice and if you show your receipt at the chip shop outside, you can enjoy a free chip afterwards. Yummy!

A better distribution

What has been renewed in Bouwhof? Where the do-it-yourself items and the home items used to be separated from each other – DIY items downstairs and furniture and home items upstairs – it is now mixed. “For example, we have merged the upholstery, such as custom cabinets, doors and curtains, with the paint and wallpaper department. With cabinets and curtains you often talk about colors, so how handy is it if the color corner is right next to it!”

Even more new

The walking route in the store is also new. “This way you admire all the new items even better and you can gain inspiration for your home. When you go up to the first floor, you will discover a new concept there. A large section with garden furniture, barbecues, swimming pools and jacuzzis where you really experience the atmosphere of a cozy garden.”

Another new department is the outlet shop. “With this we want to meet our customers by offering products for a more competitive price.” And in the context of efficiency: “We have merged the cash register and service desk so that these colleagues can work together more easily. The entrance and exit are now also in one place. So a lot of changes!”

Comfortable atmosphere

Bouwhof is a real family business and you can feel that too, says Jan Bart. “There is a friendly atmosphere and you can say anything to each other. Colleagues can develop and ideas are listened to.” And it turns out: the renovation was the idea of a number of employees. “Partly due to their good input, we are now celebrating the reopening of the store on 21 and 22 October!”

What is still good to know: the store is closed for the three days before the reopening. Online Bouwhof is then ready for you!

In short: do you feel like a day full of fun activities, grab a discount and do you want to admire the renovated store at Edisonstraat 115? Make sure to mark the 21st and 22nd in your diary!
