“After six years I will have to give in. But not before I can celebrate my birthday one more time.” Café owner Lindsey Debusschere (44) has been fighting a courageous battle against ovarian cancer for six years, but now everything is ready to choose euthanasia at the right time. Will she still make it to her birthday, March 31? The West Flemish woman does not want to take that gamble. On February 2, she will hold a very last party, with family and friends present. Her husband David is very proud: “And because of Lindsey’s unexpected operation I also see a small bright spot.”
