Party of 105 kilos of smuggled (baby) eels gets freedom back in the Veluwerandmeren

A consignment of 105 kilos of glass eels (baby eel) that was seized last Monday at Schiphol Airport has been given a new chance in the Veluwerandmeren. The Dutch Sustainable Eel Sector Foundation (DUPAN) has released the protected baby eels. The animals were found in the suitcases of three Malaysians on their way from Portugal to Malaysia.
