A car caught fire in Assen tonight. The car was parked in a parking lot at the shopping center on Nobellaan.
Nothing is yet known about the cause of the fire. When firefighters arrived on scene, flames were already shooting out of the front of the car. Police cordoned off the area.
The provincial capital has been plagued by car fires in recent months. A few days ago, the municipality hung cameras in the Pittelo district in the hope that a possible arsonist would change his mind.
