The five -year agreement with Parker and Stone for global streaming rights has a value of 300 million dollars (276 million euros) per year and ultimately yields 1.5 billion dollars (1.38 billion euros).
The agreement follows a period full of tensions due to the merger between Paramount Global and Skydance Media. According to the makers of the series, the merger led to delays and uncertainty.

“This merger is a mess and ruined it South Park. We are working on new episodes in the studio and we hope that the fans will see them in one way or another ”, Parker and Stone wrote on social media earlier this month.
The series returns on July 23, two weeks later than planned, with the new season. As part of the deal, Park County, the production company Van Parker and Stone, makes ten new episodes per year.
South Park is about the adventures of four children: Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Kenny McCormick and Eric Cartman in the mountain village of South Park, Colorado. The series is known for its dark humor and is aimed at adults. South Park first appeared on television in 1997 and has thirty seasons so far.
