Paramore probably won’t disband

After on the official website Paramore only displayed a “404 Not Found” message and all social media posts were deleted, fans feared the pop-punk band would break up. But this shouldn’t be the case. Only a change of label is said to be the reason for the radical removal of the online presence.

The future doesn’t seem hopeless

This news was revealed by Variety after the information was provided to them by an unnamed source. According to this, the group around Hayley Williams deleted their online presence on the day their contract with Atlantic Records expired. It’s the same with Instagram, X and Threads – only her Facebook account still shows a few posts.

Since deleting all posts, Paramore has only had a single interaction with her followers Instagram. They shared a story in which they wrote: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Paramore will no longer be able to perform at the iHeartRadio ALTer EGO on January 13th.” One more reason why fans saw the end of the band. Here too, the “Variety” source gave the all-clear, as the cancellation of the appearance was really a case of scheduling conflicts.

A summer with Paramore and Taylor Swift

So it seems as if supporters of the group can breathe a sigh of relief. No further concerts or live performances have been canceled so far, so it seems the band will continue to have an eventful year ahead, as planned so far. Hayley Williams, Zac Farro and Taylor York accompany Taylor Swift on “The Eras” European tour and will be on the road with the singer from the beginning of May to the end of August. The band has not yet announced any of their own gigs for 2024.

Label contract already led to tensions

What will happen next for Paramore in general, now that they are officially separated from Atlantic Records, is not yet clear. The 20-year contract that Williams signed alone in 2003 had repeatedly led to disagreements within the band in recent years, precisely because all other members of the group were not there on paper. Although the then founding members Zac and Josh Farro in particular felt ignored and the former left Paramore temporarily and the latter completely, they seemed to have found a common path again in the recent past. If they can now initiate a new beginning in terms of label technology, we can only hope that they can choose an easier path this time and thus have a positive musical future.

Her current record THIS IS WHY was released in February 2023. Listen to the album here:
