Andrea Rothfuss, who was fifth after fourth places in the downhill, super-G and super combined “so far” satisfied: “I made a few mistakes that cost me time. But if we can still get them out, then I’m all for it”, said the 32-year-old.
Para Ski Nordic: Gone with the Wind
In the Para Biathlon individual race over 12.5 kilometers, Anja Wicker and Martin Fleig missed all chances of a medal at the shooting range. Leonie Walter does better in the women with visual impairments and finishes fifth.
At the finish, Martin Fleig could only shrug his shoulders: “That was wild”, said the 32-year-old about a WM-Racing like he had never seen before. “Vcompletely powerless” was he in view of the wind, which whirled the tableau around with the men seated. Due to his twelve misses, he received twelve penalty minutes and ended up in 15th place. Wicker was fifth. “I felt as if I was on the high seas. The gusts were really gross”, she said.
Leonie Walter (with guide Pirmin Strecker) ended up in fifth place, Johanna Recktenwald (with guide Valentin Haag) was tenth.
