Senegalese center forward Pape Habib Gueye, who plays for Kasımpaşa, one of the Trendyol Super League teams, said that he believes that they will perform better in the second half of the season.
Gueye, the player of the dark blue-white team, who continues his camp training in Antalya, made a statement.
Explaining that they are working very hard and intensively, the 26-year-old striker said, “It’s almost time for the second half. Our training is going well. The first half of the season was obviously not very good. Everyone is aware of this. Everyone is doing their best to win more matches and get points.” he said.
Emphasizing that teams can have bad periods in football, Gueye said, “Sometimes football is like that. We played well in some matches, but we were unlucky. Generally, we are a good team. At times, we were not a full squad. We had significant injuries, but I am sure we will be much better in the second half. I also had some injuries, I was not in great shape, but I did my best and will continue to do so.” he said.
Explaining that they started the season with Shota Arveladze, the Senegalese player said, “We worked with coach Shota. He was a good person personally and football-wise, but this is football. My personal communication with coach Emre is also quite intense. I work hard for him and he gives me a lot of tactics. He is a very open person.” he said.
“MY GOAL IS THE PREMIER LEAGUE”
Pape Habib Gueye expressed his desire to play in the Premier League.
The Senegalese player said, “My goal is to play in the Premier League. I try to show this ambition on the field and play like this. My goal in the medium term is to play in the Premier League.” he said.
Emphasizing that there are very good forwards in the Super League, Gueye said, “Sometimes you can catch good moments personally in football. If your team supports you, the job of a striker becomes easier, but sometimes the team cannot play or different problems may arise. Then it is not very easy for us.” he said.
“RONALDO IS ONE OF MY IDOL NAMES”
The experienced football player stated that there are legendary names in his country, Senegal, and that he sees Cristiano Ronaldo as an idol.
Stating that he loves working like the Portuguese star, Gueye said, “There are many legendary names in Senegal, like Mane. Mane is also a very good person as a person. I am also someone who loves working like Ronaldo. Ronaldo is one of the idol names for me.”
Describing himself as a fun personality, Pape Habib Gueye said, “I want to be happy on the field, too. That’s why I want to give a happy expression when I score a goal. That’s why I dance well and I like dancing at home, too.” he said.
“I HOPE I CAN GO FISHING IN Türkiye TOO”
The dark blue-white football player also made statements about his life outside of football.
Underlining that one must be ready for anything in football, Gueye said, “At first, I played in cold countries. It was quite difficult. I always struggled to be better. If you are good, you can play anywhere. I am currently in Türkiye, it is a very beautiful country and a very high-quality league. I will do my best in the future.” he said.
Emphasizing that he had a good time in the northern country when he played in the Norwegian 1st Football League (Eliteserien), Pape Habib Gueye said, “The only problem was that the weather was cold. Everything else was perfect. I went fishing, I went skiing. I also have plans in Türkiye. I hope I can go fishing here too, but frankly I am afraid of skiing now.” He commented:
