Pancake company Lipcas invests in new factory six months after the fire

Six months ago, a serious fire destroyed the factory. But the baker’s family did not give up and invests twenty million euros in a brand new factory in the new industrial zone. Work will start at the end of this month.

Father and son now want to start their new future as soon as possible. The burnt scrap still recalls the disaster six months ago. One of the back lines then caught fire. In no time the whole factory was ablaze. There was nothing left to save.

With customers in more than thirty countries, Lipcas baked 7.2 million pancakes and 18 million poffertjes every month. Now that production has been stopped since June.

The bakery had 25 permanent employees. They are technically unemployed but will be able to get back to work soon.
