Egyptian football club Al-Ahly challenges Brazilian Copa Libertadores winners Palmeiras from Sao Paulo at the Club World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

The team from Egypt’s capital Cairo beat top Mexican team CF Monterrey 1-0 (0-0) in the first playoff for a place in the semi-finals. The North Africans and the South Americans meet on Tuesday (5.30 p.m.).

The team of the German team manager Thomas Tuchel and the national team trio Antonio Rüdiger Kai Havertz and Timo Werner is waiting for the winner of the second play-off (Sunday/5:30 p.m.) between the host representatives Al-Jazira and Al-Hilal from Saudi -Arabia.
