INCIDENTS

Second semifinal of the Spanish Men’s Futsal Super Cup played at the Palacio de Deportes de Chapín (Jerez de la Frontera).

So, the islanders They will face Barça this Sunday in the final at 7:00 p.m. in a duel that arrives marked by the important absences of a league champion who will not be able to count on the injured Sergio Lozano and Matheus, while Carlos Ortiz has it difficult to play.

By the way both teams already met at the Palau last Sunday in a league match that ended in a 3-1 victory for Palma, although at least Jesús Velasco’s men recovered the Brazilian Pito (he returned in the semis against Inter).

The game could not have started worse for the Murcians, who saw how Higor was ahead of Matteus to establish the 1-0 at 33 seconds. The best defense in Spanish futsal thus took an important step towards the final despite all the time remaining.

The game entered a very tactical phase with hardly any arrivals until the two best players in the Murcian team, the tough Taynan and Gadeia, enjoyed two good chances halfway through the first act. And between one and another perhaps Matteus deserved the red one for a very tough tackle proving once again why he is so feared by his rivals.

Higor almost took advantage of a defensive imbalance, but that’s where Juanjo emerged as he passed through the 12th minute. Diego Giustozzi’s men had reacted and deserved a draw that finally came at the edge of 17′, when Felipe Valerio turned and shot Carlos Barrón to sign the 1-1.

Palma accused the goal and went from being close to sentencing the game against a rival who had five fouls since 9′ to seeing how ElPozo was able to go to the locker room with an advantage with a Mati Rosa’s shot after a robbery by Taynan to which Barrón responded to perfection.

The second half began with two slightly deflected shots from Rafa Santos and Nunes, which were followed 2-1 in minute 23, again the work of Higor after winning the game against Rafa Santos. The fact is that Palma was once again ahead.

The goals followed one another. Gadeia equalized in minute 28 with a powerful free-kick that grazed an opponent, but only 100 seconds later Diego Nunes made it 3-2 with a very powerful shot near the post that beat Juanjo and put the islanders ahead for the third time.

Palma was better. Juanjo crossed Higor’s path in the 31st minute and Marlon shot wide after a rebound in the 35th minute. The next step was the Murcian ‘goalkeeper-player’ and Giustozzi finally gave Marcel the shirt five minutes from time.

The ‘VAR’ motivated the red to Darío for hands in the absence of 4:15 for avoiding a possible goal and in superiority Higor clinched at the far post the final 4-2 to become the great protagonist of the semifinal for a Palma Futsal team that has already beaten Barça twice this season.
