The victims were between the ages of five and fourteen, according to Wafa news agency. They were surprised by the flames in their sleep.
Fifteen others were injured, including the children’s parents. They have been admitted to a hospital for treatment. Several neighbors were injured when they entered the burning home to try to save those present.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the blaze. The Arab part of the Jordan is under Palestinian rule, with Israel in control militarily.
