After the British, the German book publisher of Ozzy Osbourne has now announced the autobiography of the metal legend. “Last Rites” (German: “Last Echtung”, the book title remains in English) appears on October 15, 2025 at Heyne. The memories of the Black-Sabbath front man, who recently said goodbye to his fans at the “Back to the Beginning” show in Birmingham, with numerous guests, include 385 pages in translation.

“Last Rites” is said to cover the heavy turbulence that Ozzy Osbourne has been running through in recent years. It says: “At the age of 69, Ozzy Osbourne was on a triumphal farewell tour, played in front of a sold -out stadiums and received enthusiastic reviews around the world. Then the disaster. Within a few weeks, after a hospital stay, he had to give up his tour – and his entire public life – because he was almost completely paralyzed from the neck.”

Hell trip, friendships, last moments

In addition, Ozzy Osbourne wants to reflect on his real “hell trip” in his autobiography. “Including his turbulent marriage to Sharon, his regret about the reunion of Black Sabbath, his friendships with Slash and Zakk Wylde and the shattering last moments, which he spent with Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead.”
