Ozzy Osbourne became a horse whisperer on an LSD trip

Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne revealed he chatted to a horse for an hour after taking LSD. “The horse turned around and told me to fuck off,” he said. He doesn’t want to have to go through such experiences anymore.

In an interview with Classic Rock, Osbourne opened up about Black Sabbath’s drug use. He said: “We lived together in a house in Los Angeles, rehearsed there, did a lot of drugs and made an album: simple as that. Those were good times. At that time in America it was very popular to spike your drinks with LSD. I didn’t care. I always swallowed a handful of pills at a time. The end came when we got back to England. I took ten tablets of LSD and then went for a walk in a field. I ended up standing there talking to a horse for about an hour. At the end the horse turned around and told me to fuck off. That’s it for me”.

“I’m fine at the moment”

In 1994, Osbourne ingested an entire bottle of codeine and his lungs nearly collapsed. He also survived several suicide attempts. The following statement is therefore all the more surprising. In the interview, he continued: “I’ve come to believe that if you had a gun, a bag of cocaine and a bottle of hard liquor and you said ‘take your pick’, I would take the gun. That `s not worth it”.

In 2018, the singer announced that he was sober and no longer using drugs. “I don’t drink alcohol anymore… I don’t smoke tobacco. I don’t do drugs…I’m fine at the moment. I’m like, ‘How could I think it’s fun to go to a bar and get drunk and do all that cocaine?'” he said.

Arguing with Eric Clapton

Osbourne’s new album PATIENT 9 will be released on September 9th. In the course of this, he is currently in a debate with musician Eric Clapton. On their song “One Of Those Days” there is a line that renders the word “Jesus”. While Clapton wanted to change the term, Osbourne has the figurative interpretation of the line in mind. “Losing faith in Jesus makes a lot more sense when the world is turning to crap,” said the singer, who is a Christian, mind you.
