Özcan Akyol opens a hard attack on Dilan Yesilgöz. He calls the VVD frontwoman at the table at the TV hit Today Inside a woman without a backbone. “He has a bad story.”
Dilan Yesilgöz, the new leader of the VVD, does not rule out a collaboration with Geert Wilders of the PVV. He is happy with that, but she is also surprised by the tweet he once posted about her origins and her dual nationality. The two already did that at the time, by the way pronounced together.

Nevertheless, Özcan Akyol finds it weak that Dilan still wants to work with Geert despite that personal attack. “How is it possible that you adopted that Dilan Yesilgöz? Because he doesn’t have a good story either,” he snaps at Johan Derksen in the latest episode of Inside today.
According to Johan, Dilan has done well as minister. Özcan objects: “Yes, that’s quite a lot, but when I hear her talk now… It’s all open doors, it’s raving sometimes. It’s kind of flirting with that, flirting with that. She wants to work with everyone. The PVV can also join. They also insulted her.”
No spine
The PVV has difficulty with Dilan’s dual nationality. “She wasn’t even allowed to become a minister and stuff like that. Then I think: yes, you also have no backbone, Dilan Yesilgöz. You have no backbone. If someone says to you: ‘You are not allowed to become a minister in a cabinet’, then you cannot later say: ‘Good, then I will work with you.’”
Özcan thinks that the PVV does not deserve a place in the government. “Of course not. Of course not. I think Job said the same thing last week. There are all kinds of positions in the PVV that are clearly illegal and not feasible in our constitutional state. If you put it all together… (…) It’s actually not possible.”
Million people
Johan points to the many votes that the PVV receives. “Don’t you think it’s going a bit far to just cancel a million people?”
Özcan: “You know what I think is going a long way? That one million people have voted for you for over fifteen years and that you deliberately ensure that no party wants to cooperate with you, because you say that you want to ban Qurans, shoot people with a certain background through the knees…”
“If you do that deliberately, you don’t want to work together at all and you also deceive those people.”
