Own goal leads to Telstar’s next loss

Again Telstar was unable to score any points. An unfortunate own goal by Thomas Oude Kotte resulted in the loss (0-1). Telstar has now lost four games in a row.

Alex Plat and Robin Polley, the Telstar newcomers, started on the bench at the White Lions. Zakaria Eddahchouri had several chances to take the lead in the opening phase. He first shot a free kick at goalkeeper Jorn Brondeel, headed twice just over and saw a shot deflected.

After the first half, FC Eindhoven only showed attacking for the first time. A bet ended on the post, but the subsequent attack was hit. Evan Rottier passed and Thomas Oude Kotte outwitted his own goalkeeper: 0-1. Substitute Quinten van den Heerik had a good chance soon after coming on and headed wide. Jasper Dahlhaus was able to double the score, but shot high over. Despite the seven minutes of injury time, the score remained unchanged.

Due to the international period, Telstar will play at home against VVV-Venlo on Saturday September 9 from 4.30 pm. The White Lions share the last place with Jong Ajax, who have a worse goal difference.

Setup Telstar: Koeman; Seedorf (Kaandorp/70), Apau, Soares, Oude Kotte, Faye (Plat/70); Overtoom, Van de Loo (Augustinian/79), Tahiri (Van den Heerik/57); El Kachati (Polley/79), Eddahchouri
