Outgoing alderman Jisse Otter has been appointed honorary citizen of the municipality of Emmen. Mayor Eric van Oosterhout surprised Otter today with the medal of honor during his farewell reception. Last month it was announced that the Emmer alderman has put himself forward as a deputy for the BoerBurgerBeweging (BBB).
Otter ended up as an alderman in the Emmer college in 2014 after the monster win of his party Wakker Emmen. As the ‘financial man’ of that party, he was mainly concerned with the housekeeping book of the municipality, housing and the Wildlands dossier.
