Outfitter Teamsport is no longer part of Signa Sports United

Last week it was announced that the e-commerce group Signa Sports United (SSU) was preparing to file for bankruptcy. However, Outfitter Teamsport GmbH should not be affected by this because, according to media reports, the company was sold in mid-October.

Outfitter Teamsport GmbH was taken over by Primus-Versand Karlsruhe GmbH on October 11th, according to the industry magazine Textilwirtschaft. The online retailer therefore remains unaffected by the current events surrounding the potential bankruptcies of the former parent company Signa Sports United.

Since the mail order company took over, Philipp Majcher has been the company’s sole managing director. Previously, the business was managed by him and Beatrice Mackenroth as second managing director.

According to the current status, both Outfitter and the subsidiary brand Ballside should “continue regular operations without any implications and offer their customers the usual service,” reports the industry magazine. The focus also continues to be on the area of online team sports, the sports of football, Basketball and training as well as the sale of fan items.

Outfitter Teamsport GmbH and Signa Sports United (SSU) have not yet responded to a request from FashionUnited.
