The first seven Belgian volunteers to join the fight against the war in Ukraine left the Ukrainian embassy in Brussels this afternoon. It concerns a diverse group of men between 20 and 55 years old who usually have no link with Ukraine. “My family and friends wanted to stop me because I’ve never used a gun before,” one of them said.
