National motorcyclist Can Öncü finished 12th in the first race of the 6th leg of the World Supersport Championship season in Spain.
The first race of the 6th leg of the season in the organization was held at the MotorLand Aragon Circuit in Spain.
Although Can Öncü should have started the 15-lap first race of the weekend in Aragon from 4th place, he was penalized for not complying with the yellow flag rule and started the race from 34th place.
The crescent-star young motorcyclist, who performed well in the race, came from behind and managed to cross the checkered flag in 12th place.
In the race, Italian pilot Alessandro Zaccone from the Ecosantagata Althea team came first, Spanish motorcyclist Albert Arenas from the AS BLU CRU team came second, and British pilot Tom Booth-Amos from the PTR Triumph team came third.
Turkish motorcyclist Kadir Erbay, who was invited to the Aragon leg of the World Supersport Championship with Wildcard, could not see the checkered flag due to the accident he had 6 laps before the end in the first 15-lap race of the weekend.
The second main race of the weekend in the World Supersport Championship will start tomorrow at 15.00 in Spain.
