The fight happened in early April in Ghent. The police arrested five suspects at the time, one was arrested under electronic surveillance but has since been released.
The victim himself is a young man of 18 from Oudenburg. He had been in a coma since the fight, but his family now reports that he has regained consciousness. He is still very tired and he cannot yet move all his limbs. Either way, it’s a boost for the family.
