Ottobock is slimming down by selling its wheelchair business.

The prosthesis manufacturer has concluded an agreement to sell the “Human Mobility” division to the international medical technology company DHCare, the SDAX company announced on Friday in Duderstadt. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2026. Financial details of the sale were not disclosed. With the sale, the company wants to concentrate on its core business with prostheses. The Ottobock share was recently quoted 2.4 percent higher at 51.50 euros via XETRA.
