Rauma Lukko has signed a one-year contract with a central striker Otto Sompin with. The club informed about it on its website.
Somppi played in last season’s AHL in Syracuse Crunch. There, the 24-year-old Tampa Bay Lightining’s seventh-round reserve scored 23 points in 50 games.
Somppi has enjoyed playing behind the scenes. From the Jokers U20 team, he left for the QMJHL junior series in Quebec. For the past six seasons, Somppi has been involved in American puck culture.
In the second season, he went to Pelicans for nine matches on a loan agreement, which is Helsinki’s only experience in the Finnish Adult League.
