The Otto Group sells Collect Artificial Intelligence GmbH to the Aareal Bank Group.
A contract for the takeover has already been signed by both sides, the Hamburg mail order company announced on Thursday. It was agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The employees are taken over.
“We are very pleased to have won CollectAI, one of the top addresses in the field of interactive invoices and intelligent dunning, for the group,” said Lars Ernst, Managing Director of Aareal Bank. “CollectAI complements the previous offer of our payment platform AEPP and offers us the opportunity to develop new market and customer groups as well as to continue to grow with existing customers from the housing industry and in related industries.”
Since autumn 2020, Otto has been examining companies from the group as part of its growth strategy. This included Collect Artificial Intelligence. The company will remain with Otto as an “exclusive partner for payment communication”, said Sebastian Klauke, Group Board Member for E-Commerce, Technology, Business Intelligence and Corporate Ventures at Otto.
