Ostend police reception closed due to suspicious letter

The letter is being investigated, but the reception will remain closed for the time being. The suspicious letter arrived at the local police shortly before noon on Friday.

The letter was not addressed to the police, but was delivered by post. “Civil protection has been informed and the reception of the Ostend police zone has been closed for the time being,” it said in a short statement.

Naturally, the letter and its contents will be thoroughly investigated. The police have drawn up a report and started an investigation.
